When I joined KP LAUNCH I was a rising junior at Hampton University majoring in journalism and minoring in marketing. During that summer I was a communications intern in the office of the CEO through the KP LAUNCH program.

The genuine mission to provide young adults with valuable work experience is what attracted me to KP LAUNCH. My favorite memory from the program was attending wellness workshops at Kaiser Permanente’s Educational Theater program. The workshops created a comfortable space to discuss topics that are relevant to our daily lives, such as mindfulness and stress. My summer internship fulfilled my desire of gaining firsthand experience in corporate communications, the career that I am considering. Having this opportunity has undoubtedly launched my future career planning. After college, and thanks to this experience, I plan to pursue graduate school and begin climbing the ladder of corporate communications.
